CIVIL RIGHTS HEARING BOARD

Appointment Process: Appointed by Mayor, Approved by City Council

Special Qualifications: Ordinance requires representative from business, labor, Human Relations Board, the community at large, and persons protected from discrimination.

Residency Requirements: Must live within the City limits and be a registered voter of the City.

Summary of Duties: Conducts hearings, hears testimony regarding unlawful practices discovered or not resolved by the Human Relations Director; issues findings of fact, conclusions of law, and orders allowed by Ordinance.
